Don’t Hammer Under Armour

When I saw the Under Armour “Band of Ballers” T-shirt with the basketball players raising a basket, I was not offended. When I look at the photo, I see a compliment being paid to the Iwo Jima image. I see guys who band together to raise a basketball hoop and feel that it is an important thing to them. Under Armour thought the image was a compliment and printed it for sale.  They were not trying to marginalize the veterans in the 1945 image. Do you really think they were trying to make light of the thousands who died at Iwo Jima? Why not see how the Marine’s image represents sacrifice, valor and all the rest of it and lend it out to good causes? I respect the military, defense spending and protecting America. I don’t think Under Amour was trying to profit from those who died. If you do, take a look at that.
