The New York Yankees recalled right-handers Brendan Beck and Yerry de los Santos from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in advance of Friday’s doubleheader against the Baltimore Orioles.
Beck, 27, is scheduled to start Game 1 of the doubleheader, which was arranged when Saturday’s game was moved to Friday with an approaching storm this weekend.
In corresponding moves, the Yankees optioned right-handers Bradley Hanner and Luis Gil to their Florida Complex League club.
Beck went 0-1 with an 8.22 ERA in three appearances (one start) after making his major league debut on May 7, while de los Santos, 28, was 1-0 with a 1.35 ERA in 15 relief appearances for New York this season.
Hanner, 27, made his major league debut on Aug. 14 and is 1-0 with an 8.59 ERA in five relief appearances. Gil, 28, is 1-2 with a 4.61 ERA in nine appearances (four starts) for New York this season.
