Here are a few things to know about the First Responder Bowl between Boise State (10-3, 7-1 Mountain West) and Boston College (7-5, 4-4 ACC) on Dec. 26 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas:

- Rematch: Boise State and Boston College met in the 2005 MPC Computers Bowl at then-Bronco Stadium in Boise. BC won 27-21 despite a late comeback from the Broncos, who trailed 24-0 at halftime.
- This will be Boston College’s third straight bowl appearance, after beating Maryland in the 2016 Quick Lane Bowl and losing to Iowa in the 2017 Pinstripe Bowl. The Eagles have lost six of their past seven bowl games.
- Boston College finished this regular season with three straight losses: vs. Clemson (27-7), at Florida State (22-21) and vs. Syracuse (42-21).
- Boston College’s best win: Home against No. 25 Miami, 27-14.
- Boston College averages 32 points a game, and allows 25.7.
- Sophomore AJ Dillon (6-foot-0, 245 pounds) is Boston College’s leading rusher, with 1,108 yards (4.9 per carry) and 10 touchdowns. He made the All-ACC first-team.
- Sophomore quarterback Anthony Brown completes 55.4 percent of his passes, with 20 TDs and nine interceptions. Eight receivers caught between 12 and 33 passes this season.
- Boston College’s defense has recorded 33 sacks (BSU has 39), and the Eagles have allowed 23 (BSU has allowed 32).
- Coach Steve Addazio has led BC to five bowl appearances in six seasons.
- In addition to Dillon, three other BC players made the All-ACC first-team: senior guard Chris Lindstrom, senior tight end Tommy Sweeney and junior cornerback Hamp Cheevers.
