Bob Behler

Bob Behler is in his sixth year announcing Bronco football and basketball and it is his fourth with KBOI and the Eagle. He was recently honored by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association, being named the Sportscaster of the Year in Idaho for the third straight year.  In addition to calling the Bronco games, Behler is also co-hosting “The Bob & Murph Show” on KTIK, Monday through Friday from 1-3 p.m.  He also hosts the weekly Bronco football television show for Bronco Sports Properties that airs on KTVB during the fall.

Prior to coming to Boise, Behler worked at UMass for nine years from 1999-2008.  He was the director of broadcast services and the “voice of the Minutemen” and won eight Associated Press awards for his play-by-play. From 1986-1999, Behler was the “voice” at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Penn, and from 1985-1986, he broadcast for the Chattanooga Lookouts AA baseball team.

He received his bachelors degree in Broadcast News from the University of Georgia in 1985, where he announced women’s basketball and baseball. Behler’s past free lance credits include the NCAA Basketball Tournament for CBS Radio, the Goodwill Games for Turner Broadcasting and SportsCenter Updates for ESPN Radio. A native of Stockton, Calif., he got his broadcasting start while in high school, doing local sports.

Chris Lewis

Boise, it’s great to be on board for another year of sports enjoyment in town. Along with the “Bob and Chris Show” weekdays from 1-3, I also co-host the Boise State Football Postgame show that airs on KBOI. You can hear me on the air on 1350 AM The Ticket during basketball season, continuing as “The Voice of Boise State Women’s Basketball”. If that’s not enough, I’ll also be calling other Boise State sports like soccer, and volleyball on the Mountain West Network.

I’ve become familiar with the entire state of Idaho, spending a couple summers on the east side of the state as the Director of Broadcasting with the Idaho Falls Chukars Baseball Team. While the Gem State is my adopted home, I spent the first 21 years of my life on the east coast. I grew up in South Jersey, right outside of Philadelphia, talking sports at every opportunity. After attending a sports broadcasting camp in elementary school, I knew I wanted to be in sports media. That’s why I attended Syracuse University, covering the Orange for four years. Through my time at Syracuse, I had the opportunity to cover NCAA Basketball Tournaments, a Final Four, football bowl games, and even some NBA Basketball, and much more. Other broadcasting stops have included the Cape Cod Summer Baseball League, and the Global Basketball Summer League in Las Vegas
