1. San Francisco – they return basically the same team that won last year. If Tim Lincecum returns to form and Brandon Belt and Brandon Crawford continue to develop at 1B and SS they will win division. Chemistry and bullpen too good.
2. Los Angeles – they hope that all of last year's additions come together this year. Added two more big money pitchers Zack Greinke and Hyun-Jin Ryu from Korea. With the top payroll, it will be important to get off to a good start.
3. Arizona – Have some pitching and some pieces. Added role players like Cody Ross, Eric Chavez, and Eric Hinske. Could contend if things go right…can also see them scuttling vets and promoting some hot prospects at mid-season like Adam Eaton (OF), Didi Gregorius (SS), and Matt Davidson (3B).
4. Colorado – Hoping that Troy Tulowitzki and Todd Helton bounce back in a big way. As usual Rockies can hit, but have little pitching. Walt Weiss is the division's only new manager.
5. San Diego – Chase Headly had 31 home runs and 115 RBI….with the others batting in the Padre lineup, can't see a duplication of that. Will battle Colorado for fourth.
